Frequently Asked Questions
Can confocal dishes be used for long-term culture?
The dish body and the lid fit well, are non-toxic and have no autofluorescence, and are suitable for 24-72 hours of live cell experiments. However, if longer-term culture is required, it is recommended to use a dedicated culture bottle.
What are the differences in the use of single-grid and multi-grid bacterial culture dishes?
Single-grid dishes are suitable for standard plate culture; double-grid/triple-grid dishes are used for parallel comparison, drug sensitivity testing, and simultaneous operation of multiple samples.
Are the petri dish lids non-slip? Are they suitable for stacking?
Yes, some models come with non-slip retaining rings for stable stacking, convenient for incubator or transport use.
Are cell culture dishes suitable for all cell lines?
Yes, TC-treated dishes are suitable for most adherent cell lines; untreated dishes are suitable for suspension cells or low-adhesion experiments.
Which one is more practical, the boat-shaped or square-shaped weighing dish?
The boat-shaped pan is suitable for transfer, and the square-shaped pan is suitable for static weighing. If it needs to be used in an automated weighing system, a pentagonal or diamond-shaped pan can be customized.
Can the weighing dish be used for organic solvents?
Aluminum foil weighing pans are suitable for organic solvents such as ethanol, methanol, and chloroform; long-term contact with strong solvents is not recommended for PS/PET.
How to choose weighing dish?
When choosing a laboratory weighing pan, you should choose the appropriate material and size according to the sample type and the required weighing accuracy, such as aluminum, PP or PS. You can choose a boat-shaped, square or special shape according to the experimental requirements to facilitate the operation and transfer of powders or liquids.
