FAQ of Cryo Box
How to use freezer box storage?
- Dispense the required samples into cryotubes or three-in-one cryotubes, and make sure to tighten the caps.
- Mark each cryotube number or information with a cryogenic label.
- Put the cryotubes into the corresponding holes of the box in order according to the experimental requirements.
- Record the position number and internal arrangement of the box, and record them electronically using a barcode scanner when necessary.
- Put the box into the freezing rack, and then into the liquid nitrogen tank or ultra-low temperature refrigerator.
Operation suggestions: Wear nitrile gloves and a protective mask throughout the process to prevent the frozen liquid from damaging the skin.
Do I need to label my boxes for freezer storage?
It is recommended to label the cryo boxes, especially for high-throughput experiments or long-term storage. Use cryotube label stickers or markers to ensure that sample information is clearly visible.
How do I clean my cryogenic storage boxes?
You can use 70% ethanol or other non-polluting disinfectant to clean the freezer storage box. Make sure it is completely dry before use.
What is the relationship between cryovial box and freezing racks?
Boxes are used for the classification and management of single-layer samples, while freezing racks can accommodate multiple layers of cryotube boxes for three-dimensional storage, and are often used in liquid nitrogen tanks or ultra-low temperature refrigerators.
