Common consumables for low-temperature operations such as cryopreservation tubes, PCR tubes, and microcentrifuge tubes.
ABS plastic ice box
The shell is made of high-strength ABS engineering plastic and filled with polymer cooling material. It is usually used for daily low temperature maintenance (0~4°C), economical and practical.
Advantages: low cost, light weight, suitable for daily use in teaching, clinical and general scientific research. Multi-hole design, can hold common specifications such as 1.5ml/2ml centrifuge tubes and 0.2ml PCR tubes. Various colors, suitable for group management and sample differentiation.
Applicable consumables:
PCR eight-tube, microcentrifuge tube, standard cryopreservation tube, etc.
PCR low temperature indicator ice box (with temperature control color change function)
Made of polymer materials, with temperature indicator color change module or temperature sensing label. Usually frozen to below -20°C for use, and can maintain low temperature for 2~4 hours.
Advantages: Real-time temperature monitoring reminder to ensure the safety of PCR reaction system and enzyme reaction system. Especially suitable for operations that require precise temperature control, such as qPCR library construction, enzyme cutting, ligation reaction, etc.
Most of them are 0.2ml special microplate pore size, and the operation is more standardized with filter tip.
Applicable consumables:
0.2ml single tube, PCR plate, qPCR plate, nucleic acid extraction reaction system.

FAQ of Laboratory Ice Box
How to use the ice box chemistry?
- Put the ice box in a refrigerator at -20℃ or below for more than 8 hours in advance.
- After taking it out, place it on the operating table and start placing sample tubes.
- It is recommended to wear nitrile gloves during use to avoid frostbite.
- After use, wipe the surface of the ice box dry and put it back in the freezer for next use.
How long can an ice box laboratory maintain a low temperature?
A standard ice box can maintain a low temperature of 04℃ for about 24 hours in a room temperature (about 25℃) environment. The specific time depends on the ambient temperature and the frequency of opening the lid.
Can laboratory ice boxes be sterilized at high temperatures?
Most pcr tube freezer boxes cannot be sterilized at high temperatures or high pressures. It is recommended to use alcohol wipes or cold sterilization methods to clean them.
