Nitrile Gloves

Nitrile gloves are a type of high-performance disposable protective gloves with excellent chemical resistance, puncture resistance and sensitive touch. They are widely used in laboratory environments such as chemical experiments, microbiological operations, and sample processing. They are an ideal substitute for latex gloves.

Nitrile gloves for sale: 4g/4.5g; Standard, durable, thickened. Please consult for other models.

Are nitrile gloves food safe?

Some criterion nitrile gloves are designed for industrial use (such as machinery, chemicals, cleaning). They may contain certain additives that are not suitable for food contact and cannot be directly in contact with food.

If the packaging is not clearly marked as “food contact” or does not have a food grade certification mark, it is recommended not to use it to handle food.

FAQ of Work Gloves Nitrile

What is the difference between nitrile gloves, latex gloves and PVC gloves?

This gloves have better chemical resistance and puncture resistance, and are suitable for contact with chemical solvents; latex gloves have the best flexibility, but may cause allergies; PVC gloves are suitable for low-risk occasions, such as daily cleaning. For high-demand laboratory scenarios, nitrile work gloves are recommended.

Can nitrile chemical resistant gloves be sterilized at high temperatures?

Are not resistant to high temperatures and not suitable for high temperature and high pressure sterilization (such as autoclave processing). For experimental operations that require sterilization, please use disposable sterilized gloves or other high temperature resistant consumables.

How to use nitrile gloves?

Choose the right size of gloves to ensure they are comfortable to wear.

Before putting on gloves, disinfect your hands with an alcohol pad or alcohol spray bottle.

When performing steps such as serological pipetting or centrifuge tube centrifugation, ensure that the gloves are intact and not damaged.

After use, please dispose of them properly in a biohazard waste bag according to laboratory regulations.

What are nitrile gloves used for?

1.Medical and nursing fields

Hospitals, clinics, emergency centers; Blood collection, injections, nursing operations; Dental operations. (Because it contains no latex protein, it is not easy to cause allergies and is a good substitute for latex gloves.)

2. Food processing and catering services

Food processing, packaging, baking, kitchen operations; Gloves that meet food contact standards can directly contact food. (Oil and fat resistant, suitable for handling meat and fried foods.)

3. Laboratory and scientific research

Chemical laboratory, microbiological experiment; Sample processing, prevention of cross contamination; Protection when operating corrosive or irritating chemicals. (Resistant to a variety of chemicals, better than latex gloves.)

4. Industrial field

Automotive repair (anti-oil); Electronic assembly (anti-static, powder-free); Printing, chemical industry, spray painting. (Anti-oil, anti-solvent, puncture-resistant, suitable for operating mechanical parts and chemicals.)

5. Household cleaning and personal protection

Washing, disinfection, and handling of detergents; Gardening protection; Hair dyeing and manicure operations. (Prevent irritating liquids such as detergents and hair dyes from contacting the skin.)

What is nitrile made of?

Acrylic fiber is a polyacrylonitrile fiber formed by the polymerization of acrylonitrile, which is made through spinning and post-processing processes. Because it feels like wool and has good warmth retention, it is often used in textiles such as sweaters and gloves.

Is nitrile toxic to humans?

“Nitrile” monomers (such as acrylonitrile) are toxic to humans and exposure needs to be strictly controlled in industrial production; “Nitrile” polymers (such as acrylic fiber and nitrile rubber products) are non-toxic and safe, and normal contact and use will not cause harm to the human body.

What should you not use nitrile gloves for?

1. In high high-temperature environment

The heat resistance temperature of these gloves is about 100°C. If it exceeds this temperature, it may soften, deform, or even melt. If you need to withstand high temperatures, it is recommended to use high-temperature resistant gloves (such as Kevlar, silicone, etc.).

2. When in contact with strong oxidizing chemicals
Although these gloves are resistant to a variety of chemicals, they have poor tolerance to strong oxidants (such as nitric acid, potassium permanganate, and high concentrations of hydrogen peroxide). They may be corroded and decomposed when in contact for a long time or at high concentrations. When handling such chemicals, you need to choose special protective gloves according to the MSDS of the chemicals.

3. When ultra-high sensitivity is required for delicate operations

This glove is relatively thick. Although they have good puncture resistance, they are not as sensitive and fit as latex gloves. If extremely delicate tactile operations are required (such as surgical operations, precision micro-operations), latex gloves may be more suitable.

4. When there are special needs for latex gloves (such as electrical insulation)

This glove is not electrical insulating gloves and are not suitable for preventing electric shock in electrical work.
When protection against electric shock is required, professional electrical insulating gloves should be selected.

5. When there is a high demand for breathability

This glove has poor breathability, and wearing it for a long time may cause sweating, stuffiness, and discomfort in the hands. If you need to wear them for a long time and require breathability, you can consider breathable coated gloves or other materials.

6. People who are allergic to certain nitrile additives

Although these gloves will not cause latex protein allergies, a very small number of people may be allergic to accelerators used in nitrile (such as vulcanization accelerators). You can choose accelerator-free gloves instead.
