SDLABIO FEP Gas Sampling Bags
SDLABIO FEP gas sampling bags are made of fluorinated ethylene propylene film (F46), also known as FEP film, with a thickness of 0.07mm. Teflon FEP film has excellent chemical resistance, strong acid and alkali corrosion resistance, organic solvent resistance, and low adsorption.

Feature of FEP Gas Sampling Bags
- Chemical inertness: Resistant to strong acids, strong bases, halogens and most organic solvents; no adsorption or precipitation occurs during long-term storage of samples.
- Wide temperature range: Remains flexible at -80℃ to +200℃, without brittle cracking or melting, and can be used with low-temperature labels for cold chain traceability.
- Ultra-low background: The background volatile organic matter of the material is <0.2ppb, which meets the requirements of trace level analysis.
- Multiple heat sealing/vacuum valve: Supports secondary sealing with handheld heat sealing pliers, and some specifications can be equipped with fast self-sealing valves for convenient vacuuming or nitrogen filling.
- Visible translucency: The film has low haze, and the liquid level and color can be directly observed; supports laser scale or QR code customization.

FAQ of FEP Gas Sampling Bags
What is the application scope of Teflon sampling bags?
Teflon FEP has the best chemical resistance and corrosion resistance among fluoropolymers, and has low adsorption. Teflon FEP gas sampling bags are suitable for high-precision ppm and ppb-level analysis sampling, and can collect and store various highly corrosive and highly chemically active gaseous and liquid samples, as well as organic volatile compounds (VOCs) sampling.
What are the precautions for using fep gas sampling bags?
- The storage time of gas samples in the sampling bag should not be too long. The specific storage time is closely related to the detection time limit required by the experimental analysis, the type of gas composition, temperature, humidity, pressure, etc. Generally speaking, it can be used as a temporary storage container for inert pure gas, and it is recommended to store it for no more than 72 hours; for ordinary standard gas, flue gas, ambient atmosphere, etc., it is recommended to store it for no more than 24 hours
- The sampling bag must be replaced and cleaned multiple times to be reused. It is recommended to collect the same type of samples in the same sampling bag and not to mix them.
- Heating and replacing the sampling bag with high-purity nitrogen can reduce the interference of organic precipitates.
- The inflation pressure does not exceed 3KPa. Visual observation shows that the gas sample bags are fully inflated, but it is not tight when pressed with fingers. Overpressure filling can cause the gas sampling bag to burst and be damaged.
- When storing and using, keep away from fire and high temperature to avoid puncture by sharp objects.
- When sampling and cleaning, please do not exceed 80% of the calibrated volume. Taking a 1L sampling bag as an example, it is recommended that the sampling volume does not exceed 0.8L.
How to use Teflon gas sample collection bags?
- Preparation stage: Wear dust-free and powder-free nitrile gloves; check whether the sampling bag is intact.
- Connect the sampling system: Connect the PTFE sampling tube or stainless steel valve to the outlet of the sampling pump to ensure the correct direction of the airflow.
- Vacuum pre-flushing: First vacuum at a flow rate of 1-2L/min → fill with high-purity nitrogen → vacuum again 2 times to reduce the background in the bag.
- Formal sampling: Set the flow rate and time (for example: 500mL/min × 10min); immediately close the valve or heat-seal the bag after the pump stops.
- Labeling records: Use low-temperature labels to record sample number, sampling point, volume, operator and other information.
- Transportation and storage: Volatile or active gases are recommended to be placed in a 4℃ cold chain box and sent to the laboratory for analysis within 24 hours at the earliest; liquid samples can be stored at low temperature for a short period of time.
