Weigh Boat
Weigh boat is commonly used to transport and hold samples during weighing procedures. It can also be used as quick freezing container and and mixing container for slight samples.

Feature of Weigh Boat
- Non-adhesive
Made of PS material. All chemistry weighing boats are anti-static for weighing static-affected samples, and can minimize the sample loss.
- Resistant to chemical
Resistant to dilute acids, aqueous solutions, alcohols, bases and other liquid. So it could be used in microwaves, balances or moisture analysers.
- Fine design
Designed with flexible and smooth surfaces to ensure accurate pour-outs. Round corner design can pour the powder and granular sample out of weigh boat easily.Stability of flat bottom avoid tipping over.
Square and diamond shape of small, medium, large size weight boat are available. Diamond shape is easier for taking samples out.

How to use a weight boat chemistry?
1. Set the balance to zero, place the weighing boat on the balance table, “Zero” or “Tare” button and wait until the balance reads zero.
2. Zeroing the scale subtracts the weight of the plastic weigh boats and allows you to measure just the weight of whatever you put into the boat. Put the a certain amount of sample in the weigh boat, read the result.
3. After weighing, remove the sample from weigh dishes to the reaction container for the next step.

What is a weigh boat used for in chemistry?
1. Carrier emulsion
Prevent the solution from directly contacting the metal tray of the balance to avoid contamination or corrosion of the balance.
For micro-weighing (such as milligram level), the weighing pan can reduce the amount of adsorption.
2. Protect the balance
Avoid smudges, hygroscopic or volatile substances from directly contacting sensitive parts of the balance (such as metal tray).
Prevent liquid spills or leaks from contaminating the internal structure of the balance.
3. Convenient operation
Transferring samples: After weighing, the sample in the weighing pan can be directly absorbed into the reaction container (such as beaker, test tube) to reduce losses during transfer.
Pre-weighing: The container can be weighed in advance (peeled and zeroed), and then the sample is added to obtain the net weight.
Marking and recording: Some weighing pans (such as weighing paper) can temporarily mark the sample name or mass.
How do I choose weighing dish chemistry supplies?

Weighing paper: When the weighing volume is small, it is easily affected by buoyancy and static electricity, which may cause unstable weighing results. Suitable for solid weighing.
Weighing boat chemistry is suitable for small amount of solid and semi-solid weighing.
Pipette gun is a precision instrument with a certain range, suitable for liquid standards.
Micro syringes are suitable for micro liquid standards. Different syringes are used for different raw material properties. For low boiling points and small surface tension of solvents, lock syringes should be used. Volatile liquids preferred incremental method of weighing.
