Feature of Pasteur Pipette
- Made from LDPE with optimized surface tension and high transparency, elasticity enables it to bent to enter the micro or atypical containers.
- The end of the plastic pasteur pipette dropper can be hot sealed for transportation. The bulb section can be squeezed, while the stem is for precise handling.
- The liquid will fill the pipette, with any excess flowing into the lower bulb. Squeezing the upper bulb again dispenses the sample with air pressure, leaving overflow in the lower bulb.

FAQ of Pasteur Pipette
How to use pasteur pipette?
- Hold the pipette with right hand and the rubber suction bulb in left hand.
- After aspirating the sample, wipe off the extra liquid on the tip with clean gauze or tissue paper.
- The line of sight should be at the same level with the concave surface of the liquid in the pipette when reading the data.
- Press the pipeta against the wall of the vessel and release the liquid slowly.(container and the horizontal plane at an angle of about 45 degrees).
- Pipette stays on the wall of the vessel for 15 seconds, fingers should not touch the lower end of the pipette.
What is the difference between a Pasteur pipette and a serological pipette?
A Serological Pipet has a valid value and is suitable for quantitative operations; this pipette has no valid value and is more suitable for qualitative or rapid transfer operations.
Can Pasteur pipettes be reused?
Reuse is not recommended. Pipettes are disposable consumables and repeated use can easily cause cross contamination. If repeated use is required, it is recommended to use glass pasteur pipettes and sterilize them under high temperature and high pressure.
