SDLABIO offers a full range of silicone sealing mats, designed for molecular biology, cell culture, drug screening and automated liquid handling scenarios. They have both sealing, puncture resistance and chemical resistance, making them an ideal choice to replace sealing films and covers.

  • Made of medical grade silicone, it is soft and elastic and fits closely to the edge of the microplate.
  • Provides standard sizes for commonly used well plates such as 96-well plates, 384-well plates, and deep-well plates, supporting both round and square hole versions.
  • The surface of the silicone cover can be easily punctured and is compatible with automated pipette tips and needles. There is no need to remove the cover, making it suitable for automated processes such as automatic sample addition and high-throughput screening.

  • It provides common hole types such as 48 well deep well plate, 96 deep well plate, 384 deep well plate, and 24 deep well plate, and the hole volume covers a variety of capacities such as 1 ml deep well plate, 2ml deep well plates, 2.2 ml deep well plate to meet the needs of sample storage, extraction, and reaction.
  • The plate is designed to be drip-proof and can be used with SDLABIO silicone covers, aluminum foil films and other sealing consumables to effectively prevent sample volatilization and cross contamination.

  • The tips are produced in a Class 100,000 cleanroom to ensure they are free of DNase, RNase, and pyrogens, making them suitable for high-sensitivity experiments such as PCR, NGS, and clinical testing.
  • Made of imported highly transparent medical grade polypropylene (PP), it has uniform wall thickness and consistent size, stable tip installation and high pipetting accuracy.
  • SDLABIO automation tips are widely compatible with: Tecan Freedom EVO / Fluent series;
    Hamilton Microlab STAR / VANTAGE; Beckman Biomek iSeries / FXP / NX; Agilent Bravo; ThermoFisher / PerkinElmer and other liquid workstations.

Yes, the SDLABIO silicone cap supports automated puncture of pipette tips, which is suitable for automated sample loading systems and high-throughput operation procedures.

  • Clean: Use a neutral detergent and warm water to thoroughly clean the silicone cover to remove any residual reagents or contaminants on the surface.
  • Rinse thoroughly: Rinse with deionized or distilled water.
  • Drying: Air dry or wipe dry with a clean paper towel to reduce water vapor interference in the pressure cooker.
  • Use high temperature heat-resistant sterilization bags or sterilization boxes to pack the silicone sealing mats.
  • After sterilization, let it cool naturally to a safe temperature (below 50°C) before opening the lid and taking it out.
  • Rinse the silicone cover with running warm water to remove any residual liquid, powder or visible contamination on the surface.
  • Use a laboratory neutral detergent to gently scrub the surface, especially the puncture holes or groove areas, to ensure that no reagent residue remains.
  • Rinse repeatedly with deionized or ultrapure water 2–3 times to completely remove any cleaning agent residue.
  • Avoid using bleach, strong acid and alkali cleaning agents or chlorine-containing products, which will damage the silicone structure; do not use steel wool or coarse cloth to wipe it, so as not to scratch it and affect the sealing.

It is recommended to use a V-bottom or cone-bottom structure to facilitate magnetic bead aggregation and elution and improve extraction efficiency.
